Addressing the Concerns of Felons and Inmates
The P.O.P. Movement: Committed to Second Chances
The P.O.P. Movement is dedicated to improving the lives of felons who have been released and are struggling to find work, as well as inmates who are being released into a world where guns are plentiful and jobs are few. We believe everyone deserves a second chance and the opportunity to contribute positively to society.
Components of Our Job Creation Ecosystem
Our Focus
Our job creation initiatives are centered around helping individuals find jobs and start businesses in industries they are passionate about. We particularly focus on the Environmental and Green Energy industries, including the manufacturing of energy-efficient green homes, commemorative treasure keepsake books, and other durable products.
Environmental and Green Energy Manufacturing
We will be marketing the manufacturing of energy-efficient green homes, commemorative treasure keepsake books, and other non-disintegrating products. Many items we use take a long time to decompose, if ever, based on their material. By repurposing these items into commemorative handmade gifts, we can divert them from landfills to your mantel, nightstand, desk, or shelf.
Partnerships and Production
We are seeking contracts with museums and gift shops across America to purchase our commemorative treasure keepsake items handmade by individuals in underserved communities.
- Management: Mr. Kenneth Peterson will serve as the National Director of the Environmental Protection Department within the movement.
- Production Oversight: EFY Cradle To Cradle Manufactory, one of our consortium partners, will oversee this process through our Environmental Protection Initiative in the 360 CR&JC Project. This initiative has the potential to create thousands of jobs in Mississippi and unlimited commission salespeople/homepreneurs nationwide.
- Production Workforce: Products will be assembled by the unemployed, including felons, youth entrepreneurs (FEABOTs), and community volunteers who are members of the P.O.P. "Do Meant" Movement. Proceeds from sales will go towards new business infrastructure to continue hiring more individuals.
Job Opportunities
Our consortium partners and business alliance members listed in our directories will provide job opportunities. This includes roles such as:
- Call centers, warehouse assemblers, receptionists, bookkeeping, truck driving (Box Trucks & 18 Wheelers), aquaponics (catfish & tilapia)
- Organic farming (tunnel houses/greenhouses) Agri City Greenology Farm (within every 25-50 miles) Greenology OMNI II (Cradle to Cradle Manufacturing plant): Building eco-friendly materials, creating over 1,000 jobs and new business startups in carpentry and construction per site area. Our goal is to place a manufactory within every 4-6 hours of a given location. Global Greenology: Training individuals in soft skills such as painting, flooring, carpentry, landscaping, drywall, etc.
Pay It Forward Ministry Department
Through our job creation ecosystem, you can pay it forward and stand in the gap for your loved ones who are incarcerated. We will help you start a business to hire your loved one 48-72 hours after their release. The business will be willable and sellable to the inmate upon their release. We will train them to operate the business as an employer or employee, providing immediate income. The training process begins in job readiness and business ownership before the inmate is released.
Estimated Business Cost to Operate Each Center
The estimated cost to operate each work center is around $40,000 -$75,000 per year, depending on the cost of living per county. For example, commercial property rental in Cleveland, MS, may cost less than in Jackson, MS. Each center will have a workforce & entrepreneurship training department where on-the-job training will be administered through both employee and employer guidelines. (VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME)
Job Creation in Mississippi
Our goal within the first 3-5 years is to create a minimum of 10,000 jobs in Mississippi, equating to about 125 jobs per county. Some counties may receive more or less based on their size (Mississippi has 82 counties).
Book Writing Initiative
We encourage everyone who has been incarcerated to share their life story through our "Put It in a Book Campaign." By offering these services, we believe it will encourage and empower them to move forward. They can have their book in hand as they proudly share their story.
